SAP GET TIME STAMP: Retrieving the Current Time Stamp

DATA ts_short TYPE timestamp.
"e.g. 20240101081317
GET TIME STAMP FIELD ts_short.

"Long form
DATA ts_long TYPE timestampl.
"e.g. 20240101081317.81011
GET TIME STAMP FIELD ts_long.

"Note: When declaring the target data object inline,
"the short form (type timestamp) is automatically used.
"e.g. 20240101081317
GET TIME STAMP FIELD DATA(ts_inl).
