Data Elements
Data elements are the most significant components of the majority of programmable and database objects, thus one should pay close attention to them and have a thorough understanding of how they are built and maintained, and their fundamental fields and characteristics.
Data elements are the data types that we utilize to create tables, views, and other SAP data objects. We may use data elements to describe elementary or reference types, as well as their semantic features. Referentially typed data pieces serve as references to other types, classes, or fundamental types. This is handy when you need to define many comparable data components.
Elementary-typed data elements are technically similar to predefined dictionary types with the only significant difference: they can hold semantic meaning of the type.
