ABAP Checking the existence of a row in a database table

 

"Instead of @abap_true, you could also use 'X'.

SELECT SINGLE @abap_true

  FROM dbtab

  WHERE ...

  INTO @DATA(exists).

IF exists = abap_true.

  ...

ENDIF.
